Now down to the nitty gritty.

Last night she stopped for gas at a Citgo gas station, this one in particular.  She filled up fine and when she tried starting her car, the engine wouldn’t turn over. Sucks right?

She called me at work and I left to bail her out. By the way, my work is 45 minutes away from where she was, so it was going to take me some time to get there.

After getting off the phone with me, she went inside and explained the situation to the two or three guys behind the counter and told them that I was on my way to handle the situation. What’d they do? THEY THREATENED TO HAVE HER CAR TOWED!

Did they offer to push her car into a parking stall? Nope. Did they ask her if she’d like some coffee while she waited? Nope. Did they do anything that would constitute the littlest notion of good customer service? Nope.

Situations like this amaze me. I’ll never understand how people can be so cruel — espeically to a cute, little blonde. I know that each Citgo is independantly owned and opperated, but honestly, I’m never filling up at any Citgo ever again. Please go here and rate their friendliness and customer service a 1 in the bottom right.

P.S. Hey Citgo, by the way, I drive an hour to work everyday and that means an hour back too. In other words, I fill my gas tank on average AT LEAST two times per week.

Please Retweet this and help me get the word out. This type of behavior is unacceptable and we shouldn’t have to put up with it.

**UPDATE**The story unfolds even further. Apparently there was only one guy behind the counter, but the manager was in the building too — doing what ever managers do behind closed doors. Anyway the manager caught wind of the situation and definitely said he was getting the car towed. THE MANAGER OF ALL PEOPLE DIDN’T EVEN HELP HER OUT!

I’m writing this post based on my reaction to an article I was directed to on CNN Money titled “The End of Blogging.” With that said…

Hell no blogging isn’t dead.

Blogging, in my opinion, is a constant of the internet — much like message boards. Before blogging was ever concieved as a term, there were online journals or online diaries or web logs. These ‘web logs’, as they were called back then, recieved a lot of flak, much of the same flak Twitter is receiving now. The most common complaints were, “I don’t want to know what’s going on in your life” or “Why would I want to know what HE/SHE has to say?”

Fast forward to now.

Technorati indexes over 133 million blogs and tracks almost one million blog posts every 24 hours. With those stats, it’s safe to say blogging isn’t dead.

As I said, blogging is one of those constants just like message boards. Speaking of message boards, the ex-COO of MySpace just recieved 10 million in funding for his new project. TechCrunch reports:

What do we know so far about the company? Not a whole lot except that Redpoint and August are rumored to be “very excited” about it. The company is supposedly targeting the message board/Internet forum space with technology that aggregates content and serves advertising against it. Real time search may be part of the business plan as well.

Well look at that. A message board startup getting crazy funding. I rest my case.

Furthermore, why would you even waste your time filling it out. I would honestly rather see 500 invites to Mafia Wars than an entire feed populated with the ‘pick 5 things’ meme. So now 25 things about me…
